SCP-294 Interactive Dispenser

SCP-294, a coffee vending machine with a QWERTY keyboard.
READY

Item #: SCP-294

Object Class: Euclid

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-294 is to be secured in the 2nd floor staff break room at all times. Standard Foundation security protocols apply. Any personnel using SCP-294 must submit a formal request detailing the desired liquid. Requests for potentially hazardous or anomalous substances are to be denied pending review by Level 4 personnel.

Description: SCP-294 is a standard coffee vending machine, the only notable external difference being a QWERTY keyboard with English lettering. Upon depositing fifty cents US currency, a user is prompted to enter the name of any liquid using the keyboard.

Upon entering a request, the machine dispenses the desired liquid into a standard 12-ounce paper cup. Over one hundred tests have been conducted, and every request for a common liquid (water, soda, coffee, etc.) has been successfully fulfilled. However, the machine is also capable of dispensing substances that are not typically liquid, such as liquid gold, anti-water, and "a cup of music". Tests involving dangerous substances have resulted in varied outcomes, often with hazardous effects. Caution is advised.
